My father's old A5 is consistently jamming on me. I heard somthing a while back about adjusting the friction rings to fix this but I don't know how to do it. It is not kicking out the shell and the hull is getting stuck in on the outside of the reciever. Pretty much right in the middle of the hull. It is almost like the ejector isn't pulling the shell out all the way? Maybe it is the ejector. But I am hoping it is a simple fix. My Dad took it into a smith before he died and had the man go over the whole gun. He had to replace the stock and forearm, put a scope on it for slugs, and had him fix the jamming problem. It had been jamming on him for awhile. He had used it as his primary gun since he was 15. Until last weekend I hadn't shot it because I am not much of a deer hunter. I wanted to run a few slugs through it for nostalga's sake and maybe shoot a deer with it in our rifle zone for the same reason. One day I would like to restore it back to the way I remember it, light colored wood and set up for ducks with bismuth or classic doubles style shot for one duck hunt a year. Right now I just don't want it to jam. Any suggestions. The nearest gunsmith, specializing in rifles, is four hours away and I would like to learn more about how to use this piece of my history in a more satisfactory way. Thanks
