Which company is the best camo dipping outfit?

Postby njonesy_07 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:35 pm

I was sorta thinking about getting an aftermarket camo job on one of my waterfowl shotguns. Which company provides the best camo job? Ive read about some good places, but couldn't remember the better outfits.

As far as price and quality, which one(s) are the best? I would also like to hear about any you have personally delt with.

Thanks for you input. :hi:

Thanks. I'm thinking about MODB or New Shadowgrass camo patterns....

Duracoat does a good job as well, I have had dealings with them over the years and so far their work has held up well.

I am getting ready to ship mine to Color and Camo. They are my choice for a first rate job in Max-4 camo pattern. Their communication with me has been excellent. I am sending them the gun dissasembled and my total cost is $200. I will send them everything except the bolt assembly, trigger group, recoil pad, choke tube, magazine spring and follower. Current turnaround time is 3 to 4 weeks.

all mentioned do good work.color and camo and camo solution.u will find that just about every after market camo coater will do a better job than most factory dipped peices due to attention to detail and each peice being dipped individually.i do it part time in my basement and my peices look better than most factory jobs.i dont have my ffl yet so i cant do receivers but im workin on it.don at camo solutions is a licensed mossy oak printer.

Same here. They did an awesome job on my SPR453 in Natgear. They told me 3 to 4 weeks turnaround also and 3 weeks and 1 day it was on my doorstep. I can't say enough about the work these guys do.

When I got my gun back from Color and Camo, they did a pretty good job on it. It wasnt perfect but satisfactory and acceptable. I was miffed with them when I called them on the phone to check to make sure they received my gun as they did not let me know it arrived as I thought they would. He was very short with me on the phone like I was bothering him and why was I calling him. I sent two emails prior to the phone call with no reply. I will send my next one somewhere else due to this. Check out Midwest Hydrographics. I think he has the Nat Gear pattern you want. Midwest is also $150. for a complete gun with no extra charges for misc. stuff, like the trigger guard, extended choke, gun assembly, etc. He also offers a lifetime warranty and a much quicker turn around time. Hope you have time to check out Midwest's website before you decide. Midwest also has other patterns than are listed on their website. If you dont see what you want, just ask.

William Costa gave me a pretty good quote for a full camo job. $150 + return s/h....turn around time as low as a week. Not too shabby

I decided that I'm going to send my M2 off to the guys at Sign Pro Graphics, the forum sponsor on the forum. Seems like they have good rates and excellent customer service. I can deal with not having fancy patterns like Mossy Oak. The Kings Field Shadow looks excellent IMO
