Didn't know they made an aluminum shell. I just bought the same gun a month ago, but so far haven't had any trouble. Did the extractor not grab the shell to eject it? Or was the aluminum too soft to grab?
Make sure u take a bore brush and clean the chamber really well. I have a new 870 and it didn't do anything like that but I cleaned it really well. My friend just got a new 870 and all he did was give it a spray down and wipe down and his did the same as your gun. I had to take his gun and slam the butt of it on the ground to eject the shell.

I have been shooting 870 Wingmasters for 40 years, not the new super mags, but, I have had the same problems with different ammo over the years. 870's can be somewhat finikey to feed, here is how I solved my problem. When forced to switch ammo, I function test it before going on a hunt. This action has saved me a lot of frustration over the years.
On some ammo the plastic hull is a bit too long. Start comparing rounds that you fired. Save them, especially the ones that jam up.
Polish the chamber as well. This problem keeps coming up over and over. There ARE several threads. Polish the chamber and find shorter ammo. Another thing is to visually check your ejector spring. It's that flat one that's riveted inside the receiver.
p.s. I'll trade you a supermag that works for yours plus you pay $100 and shipping.
If it keeps doing that bring it back. My friends did it a few times on certain shells then it started doing it every-time with different shells he brought it back they sent it too Remington and it turns out the chamber wasn't reamed properly.
Shells not ejecting because Remington did not polish the bore "enough" is a common problem. I had the same issues with the predecessor to this gun that shot 3.5" shells, the SPX or some damn thing. I returned it and Remington gave me a VersaMax.
