AL 390 shims/spacer

Postby TopWop » Wed Jan 16, 2013 12:45 am

I've had this gun for years and thought it fit me well.
I recently shouldered some other guns and realized
I'm seeing too much of the receiver end and not flush.

I have no idea where the shims it came with are. I
found some on brownell's, but don't know what the
designations mean or which one I need. From what I
can tell the stock needs to come up some.

Thanks in advance for those with useful info.

First thing to do is take your butt plate off and see what shim is currently in there. The mark will be on the top of the shim while it is facing you. You may be able to flip the shim to raise the DAC depending on what number is facing you.

Visit colegun.com to find the shim you want. Rich sells everything for beretta parts.

The shims are a 55/60 shim or a 45/50 shim. If you have a 45 or a 55 facing you, you can flip the shim to raise the drop. If you have a 50 facing you and want to raise to 55/60...you need to buy the 55/60 shim.
"For the High and Exalted One who lives forever, whose name is Holy says this: 'I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed." - Isaiah57:15

X2... Id try this fIrst. I shoot an a390st and bought new stocks for it a couple years back. I noticed it didnt shoulder the same but once I took the shim out and flipped it over it was right on the money.

You can probably just flip the shim in there, if you are seeing too much, the other side will more than likely raise the barrel in relation to your eye.

If you buy the shims, make sure you also get the corresponding washer

NO,NO,NO,NO a thousand times NO!
The answer I was looking for is "the gun is useless and you need to
buy a new A400". You people weren't even close!

All kidding aside, some great info, THANKS!
I think I have what I need....except $1700.00
for a new A400

After shooting the BIL's A400, I'll pass. I'll take a 391/390 over a A400 anyday:
