Black T coating

Postby T Man » Tue Jan 14, 2014 8:53 am

Has anyone had it done? My receiver is still in good shape, but my barrel is showing plenty of wear after 12 years. I have a few little spots that always gather surface rust as well that I want to get taken care of. The price for a single barrel is right (only 55 bucks) but I would like to know how well it holds up.

It holds up great. I had an Auto-5 Stalker coated and it wore to the point it looked as if the finish was gone and nothing but bate metal was left. It has yet to rust even when going thru a wet rainy hunt.

Cerakote is probably a better finish for you if looks concern you, because Black-T is thin to begin with. The cool thing about the Black-T is it is in the metal as well as on the metal.
