Magazine extension

Postby ILgoosehunter12 » Mon Feb 03, 2014 11:00 pm

Hey guys. I'm just brainstorming of a project to do. One idea that crossed my mind is making a magazine extension for my 870. I'm a cheap-wad so figured this would save me some money possibly. Has anyone ever done this before? Need some ideas on what to use for this project. Thanks, ILgoose

wouldnt be hard given you can get a spring long enough, and have access to a mig or tig welder.

I have an extension on my 870, VERY simple device. really a piece of pipe the threads on to the magazine end cap/ barrel nut threads with a longer spring. You'll also have to remove the dimples in the mag. tube for the factory plug and spring retainer. I can get you some measurements of mine (holds 8 total I think)

I personally believe that Briley makes the very best mag extensions.

Buy one, reverse engineer it, and sell it at close to what you paid for it.
Or, just buy one and use it.
