Browning Auto 5 magnum 20 problems

Postby quailhunter123 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 5:20 pm

My A5 mag will eject the spend round, load the round in the tube to the place in-between the chamber and the magazine tube and release the 3rd shell so only the brass is sticking out of the magazine tube. I had no rings in the gun because the last time I put them in according to the owners manual the gun would not cycle. Does anybody know what the problem is or have any suggestions?
I think I might need a new recoil spring because when I was given this gun for duck hunting when I was young with no rings in it at all so I think firing high velocity shells with no friction rings might have worn out the recoil sprin

I am no browning expert but I believe that in all auto 5 you see about a 1/4 inch of the brass from the shell showing from the magizine
