Rob Roberts has mine as we speak. Having mine done in bottomland. My buddy just got his back and his looked awesome. I inspected his very closely as I am a detail guy. Rob knocked it out of the park. He charged us $225 a gun. Yes you can mail in your gun.
I have send many guns in for camo dip for customers, The best place I have found is Camo Solutions. I have never had an issue with any gun sent tot them but I have had issues with other companies.
The two mentioned above were on my short list with Camo Solutions being first in line, but they were booked out for months. My second choice was Color and Camo and they did a bang up job.
Thinking of doing this with my dad's old 1100 - love shooting the gun but it has been through alot - blueing worn - needed a new barrel after upteeen 1000's of rounds the lug recess at the top of the barrel was cracked-
Would I have to get synthetic stocks first or can the dip be done over the woods and stuff?
I have used three diff dippers. Color and Camo is the only one of the three I would recomend. They give you what you expect. At one point, I thought any of these film dip companies could do a quality job. Boy was I wrong about that! Color and Camo know what they are doing and it shows in their work. Their Max4 pattern is outstanding.
