When there is no competition and the person paying has no financial interest in paying less and arguably a financial interest in paying more, what do you expect?

That is the system that politicians have created. That is what they voted for. That is what the consumers have supported. This is simply what we asked for and received.

Social Security is the far greater rip off for most of us.

This is the system we created. Why would anyone be shocked that it works as anticipated by any half-ways reasonable person?

But don't worry, Obamacare created even more incentives to do even more wasteful and inefficient things.

You take every one of the institutions involved in this sort of racket and you prosecute them, strip all their assets and return the funds stolen to the extent you can to their victims, convict the firms and their officers, directors and employees and then lock every one of the people involved up, forcing them to make license plates, break rocks and pick up litter on the side of the road, feeding them only bread and water, until they die.

That would do it, but our system is too corrupt for that to ever happen.

Playing by the stupid rules created by government is not a crime. At least, not something that you should answer for while still on earth. Standing before God, it was legal is not a winning argument.

We live in a society where shoving a gun up someone's nose through various legislative machinations to evade black letter law that says any person who conspires to restrain trade and competition has committed a felony is no longer a problem provided you're in the right business, you hang out the right shingle, you woo and wheeze on the schwantz of the right "lawmakers" and they in return give you permission to screw the public to the maximum possible extent, colluding with everyone up and down the line as necessary to do so.

”We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” John Adams

This is why letting savages elect their leaders does not make them any less savage. We live in and elect corrupt politicians because so much of society is corrupt. Does a savage know he is a savage? Neither does the corrupt member of a corrupt society.

Obama represents the most corrupt President ever. Not because in secret he was the most corrupt individual ever, but because his corruption was so open and society elected him anyways and defend him when a large fraction of the so-called journalist fail to keep it from coming to the attention of the majority of Americans. Clinton was quite similar in this regard. Anybody that thinks Hillary will lose because of scandals does not have a grasp on reality. She has to be mocked and be seen as a joke because unless she is exposing her junk to other women, she will not be considered too corrupt as long as she espouses the "right" things.
