Of course it is. But queue the eye rolling because of the source.

Being a scientist makes me mistrust scientist.

Trust but verify

I like what Neal Boortz used to say "Don't believe anything you read on this web page or, for that matter, anything you hear on The Neal Boortz Show unless it is consistent with what you already know to be true, or unless you have taken the time to research the matter to prove its accuracy to your own satisfaction."

Only a fool doesn't heed this kind of advice.

When a "scientist" tell a liberal what they want to hear, they confuse

with the only person to ever walk the earth that could be fully trusted.

So it sound like slow is making a solid argument for watching Fox News

"In the past several years, a number of polls have documented the huge gap between liberals and conservatives when it comes to their acceptance of the science of climate change. Naturally, then, researchers have increasingly turned their attention to trying to explain this dramatic divide over what is factually true. And it wasn't long before they homed in on the role of conservative media in particular—thus, a number of studies (e.g., here) show that watching Fox News increases your risk of holding incorrect beliefs about the science of climate change...." Well duh ...

"...Now, a new paper just out in the journal Public Understanding of Science takes this line of inquiry further, beginning to unpack precisely how conservative media work to undermine the public's acceptance of science. The paper shows that a distrust of climate scientists is a significant factor underlying the modern denial of global warming, and moreover, that watching Fox News and listening to Rush Limbaugh both increase one's level of distrust of these scientific experts. Or as the paper puts it, "[C]onservative media use decreases trust in scientists which, in turn, decreases certainty that global warming is happening."..." well duh

"The study, conducted by Jay Hmielowski of the University of Arizona and colleagues at several other universities, relied on a large polling sample of Americans in two phases: 2,497 individuals were interviewed in 2008, and then a smaller sample of 1,036 were reinterviewed in 2011. The respondents were asked about what kind of media they consumed—conservative choices included Fox News and the Rush Limbaugh Show; "non-conservative" media outlets included CNN, MSNBC, National Public Radio, and network news—as well as about how much they trusted or distrusted climate scientists. They were also asked about their belief that global warming is happening. (The study controlled for variables like political ideology, religiosity, and other demographic factors.)"

Yeah, but what about the lazy bandwagon group-think, bitching and demonizing and lamenting of perceived problems that often don't exist, and how there seems to be a penchant to eat it up with a spoon, become morally outraged, strident, maybe belligerent, rather than being ...

Good read.

How CNN and MSNBC reports news.....

I don't see the misrepresentation of facts on fox's part. Remember, there are scientists on both sides of this argument, I just believe those who don't believe in imminent global warming, mostly because they are using facts and not theory. Just because someone did the homework doesn't mean they deserve an "A".... (Well except for liberals, handing out good grades without the hard work is the progressive thing to do)

Exactly. This is why Obama had to have the beer summit, his silly statement about Zimmerman looking like he could be Justice Sotomayor's son, cutting the deficit in half, virtually ever claim on Obamacare, ...

If you want to know why there is so much skepticism about climate scientist, you weren't paying attention to climategate. There were some shady things, power struggles, and more than enough to raise serious questions about the biases of the scientists at a minimum and integrity at worst.

You don't get million dollar grants if your results show nothing, even if nothing is the truth.

They couldn't get any data from any of the other news stations because nobody was watching them. However, mother Hubbard reports that Rachel, Mathews and sharpton still believe in global warming. Rachel and Mathews blame it on bush and sharpton blames the crackas.
