Wait one damn minute- why not send a drone? So these same folks send a drone to kill an (arguably) American citizen in Yemen, but these guys (who are NOT citizens) need to be charged, arrested, and tried in a court? Why the double standard? Which court authorized the use of the drone to kill other terrorists, and why is this different?

Ahh heck what difference does it make anyway?
It's just 4 of our fellow Americans.

Besides-
We've got Al Quaida and most terrorists "on the run", there really isn't a real threat now

(Really don't understand the closing of our U.S. embassies in Yemen and others abroad. Makes no sense  ).

We should focus more on pop culture and the Tonight Show.

They should just release the footage from the drone strike. AFTER.

I am going to suspend my total disbelief in this administration for a minute here.

I think they may actually be approaching this one properly. They took the time to allow investigators to track and attempt to properly identify multiple culpable parties in the attack. They then file charges stating that these parties are being sought. This puts the suspects on all police watch lists including Interpol. If we can pick up one suspect we can interrogate him ( waterboarding works great ) and get info on the others. Following the crumb trail leads to catching or killing the head of the snake instead of the little fish who don't mean much.

If they continue down this path with proper investigative work and research we can hunt down and kill dozens or hundreds of the people involved. Instead of just wasting a missile on little fish that dont matter.

Thanks for the help.

The video had nothing to do with this. I am talking about he administration finally stepping back, shutting the hell up and allowing the professionals who are trained to figure this stuff out do their jobs. Then allowing the proper people to file in court and hopefully moving the intel through to the operators who can reach out and touch the culprits up close and personal.

The key here is intel gathering, dissemination, and orders for the right assets to handle the field work.

I am hoping that the administration has learned a lesson or two and is actually allowing that to happen.

Makes us look impotent because we are. Sadly, It was necessary though. We still owe a duty of safety to diplomats.

Their safety is secured by Embassy Marines. Give the post commander a free fire order when he feels the post is threatened and see how long a heavy platoon of Marines takes to kill 2,000 ragheads.

I thought the embassy marines had their guns unloaded with no bullets on them...the bullets were in one central location.

If Chicago is any example then Benghazi is just a real estate deal. And Obama and his cronies are going to get rich by abusing the power to bend the wills of mortal men. Then steal votes while Tammany Hall and black people.

Overseas marines at embassies are almost all combat veterans. They are well armed with loaded weapons. Particularly in dangerous postings.

Not at Benghazi from what I remember...they took the bullets from the marines.

This is interesting

A former U.S. attorney representing Benghazi whistleblowers is claiming that 400 surface-to-air missiles were stolen during the deadly attack in Libya and are now “in the hands of some very ugly people.” He also said the Obama administration is “deeply concerned” that the weapons may be used to shoot down airliners.

In an interview with WMAL radio, Joe DiGenova explained that the stolen missiles also represent one of the reasons the U.S. State Department shut down 19 embassies across the Middle East last week.

He said the development has the Obama administration “deeply concerned” and on alert.

Even more potentially shocking, DiGenova claimed the missiles are now in the hands of al-Qaeda operatives, according to his sources. His sources include “former intelligence officials who stay in constant contact with people in the Special Ops and intelligence community.”

“And it’s pretty clear that the biggest concern right now are 400 missiles which have been diverted in Libya and have gotten in the hands of some very ugly people,” he added.

What was not immediately clear is why the U.S. government had stockpiled 400 surface-to-air missiles in Benghazi in the first place. However, the attorney said “it is clear that the [CIA] annex was somehow involved in the process of the distribution of those missiles.”

DiGenova’s wife, Victoria Toensing, also represents Benghazi witnesses and other individuals with direct knowledge of the attack.

If that is true, no wonder they attempted to divert and cover it up.

Makes Fast and Furious look like child's play. What a complete dumbass we have for a President. 400 missiles in the area Nd he doesn't have enough security there to hold them.
