Great demo. I have a case and lifejacket on order. I have sunk more than one phone in the Columbia.

Thanks for posting that.

Do you know how they hold up long term. My otter case has done its job, but is loose and falling apart after less than a year.

I love my Lifeproof. I was hesitant at first because of all the negative reviews I came across, but I have encountered ZERO of those "problems". I'd get another in a heartbeat, but this lifejacket is something I'm going to look into.

I think they got a lot of those bugs worked out, and I still wish I could hear phone calls a little better than I can through the case........but given the alternatives, I'll take it. I improvised a few "lifejackets" after I saw the price tag (almost $40 at my local dive shop) but given the versatility (easy in and out, mostly) of the real deal, and its bombproof materials, I bit the bullet. A waterproof case is swell and all, but like Scaup and I noted, it doesn't do too much good if you gotta call in Jacques Cousteau to find the damn thing

My favorite line at the phone store is how much good does a waterproof phone do if it doesn't float. Always said in good humor.

although waterproof does come in handy even in the sinking version.......as long as you're in shallow water. I wish the phone had been shooting video the time I saw my dog stick his head into the knee deep water and come up with the phone (that I didn't even know I'd dropped)........now THAT woulda been great cinema :lol3:
