I have said a few times here that we need to surround the cities and starve them out. This is exactly how you do that peacefully. Form a large enough body, legally fight your way through the process and start a program of seperation. It is most definitely time to drop the large cities, their funding, and their problems right in the big cities laps. No more raping citizens with no interest in their problems, funding, or agenda's to pay for systems that are broken and don't work.
Seattle and King County in Washington are great examples of the issues that trigger these things. There is no justification for dumping the costs for a new Seattle Dome on the state, but they did it. No reason for other parts of the state to fund the ridiculous costs of transportation projects in Seattle, but they hit them for those too. If this one works out and a secession occurs, you can bet that eastern Washington will follow suit. There have been rumblings about it for a very long time in this state.
