If you grew up in New England way back in the Dark Ages like I did, you got brownie points just for having had family on the Mayflower. My dad had copies of the family tree available for all of us kids to bring in on show and tell day, and the teachers just ate that schit up, like we were royalty or something, even though our clothes were rattier than anyone else's. It's weird, I did nothing to deserve any attention for my heritage, but I'm still proud of it to this day.
Anyway, this hymn and handbells really bring out the Puritan in me.
It has made you stupid, like a bunch of park geese with no predators. Although, as Spinner pointed out, I am probably being unfair to the park geese
