That's kind of how God is too, I think, in that He/She/It is not all that concerned with our daily goings on. That's for us to deal with ... or not.

There is nothing wrong with being more environmentally responsible, and to cloak it as somehow communistic is idiotic. Granted, there are those who take environmentalism too far, and some of them may in fact be communists, but painting everyone with a broad brush is ALWAYS idiotic. Ergo, Dennis Prager is an idiot who likes fear mongering as much as those he derides.

When environmentalism is a singular tool specifically used to push a communist agenda, it is to be derided, mistrusted, and exposed for what it is. Environmentalism has been turned into a weapon of confiscation and tyranny. That is totalitarian at best. That is not American nor the American way. Take the global warming and carbon impact hoax as a perfect example.

You've got every right to do so, scaup, but when you say "communist", you make it sound very McCarthyish. It's just another political philosophy, buddy, not akin to "child molestor".

Far worse than child molesters. More like mass murderers of millions Jim. The end result of totalitarian government has always been subjugation and murder of those who don't agree. Simply look at a history book. The zealots want control through force if necessary. Freedom is irrelevant in the face of their new God.

I am referring to the philosphical concept of communism, scaup, not how it has been abused and manipulated for personal gain for a select group. Perhaps you're right in that corruption is the inevitable outcome of such a system, but I think that capitalism has not fully emerged from the jury room, either. It seems to be having the same problems regarding inevitability of abuse and corruption.

We all know that modern liberals have not embraced freedom. Sure freedom to do what they deem as OK, just like children are free to do what their parents allow, but not freedom to do the wrong thing. The free market suffers from the flaws of human nature as does anything that concentrates power to limit that freedom.

Take Obamacare, Obama has the power to rewrite the law at will. Of course, liberals will claim that only Democrats have that power, but that is not true. It is an uncontrolled and untenable system. Sure if competent saints are in charge it does OK, but once you get a bunch of incompetent egomaniacs or a truly evil men in charge, it crashes and burns the entire populace under their charge.

This kind of top down control is UNSTABLE. A bottom up free market system is stable. What this means is that the top down system is NOT self-correcting and the bottom up system is self correcting. I think modern liberals actually think the last recession would have never ended and that the 700,000 job losses per month would have continued forever and we would not have unemployment well over 100%. Why else would they mention it so often as if better numbers are proof of anything other than the natural self-correcting nature of a relatively free market.

Free market communism will work just as well as free market capitalism. Of course, communist advocates always practice free market capitalism when it is an option. Freedom is key. Free to practice communism if you wish and freedom to practice capitalism if you wish. One in practice is intolerant and must outlaw the other and put a small group of people in charge who cannot be voted out by the people. Communism in practice is not even a 2 party system. It is a one party, one idea, on small group system and that makes it inherently unstable and the human destruction that comes with that.

Now as is always necessary. Freedom does not mean you are free to murder. It does not mean you are free to steal, defraud, or in any way intentionally or recklessly harm others. It does mean you are free to recklessly harm yourself and make all kinds of terrible uninformed and seemingly irrational decisions.
A politician thinks of the next election; a statesman of the next generation. A politician looks for the success of his party; a statesman for that of the country. The statesman wished to steer, while the politician was satisfied to drift.
