'This Thing Is Working'

Postby nitram » Thu Apr 17, 2014 6:11 pm

Barack Obama couldn't help but spike the political football once again on ObamaCare. Now claiming that some eight million people have signed up for health insurance under the law, Obama declared, “This thing is working. I know every American isn't going to agree with this law, but it's well past time to move on as a country and focus our energy on the issues that people are most concerned about.” Eight million is indeed a big number, but again, how many have paid for their coverage and therefore actually enrolled? How many plans were canceled by ObamaCare? Furthermore, when Democrats were campaigning to cram ObamaCare down our throats, they'd claim there were 30 million uninsured – or 50 million uninsured or whatever the number of the day was. Why don't we ever hear about that anymore? In the end, the real price of ObamaCare will be degraded health care services, and those will and should be hung around Democrat necks for the next generation.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or f-ing beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.- Al Swearengen

He is correct. We need to move on to the one thing that Americans in general see as most pressing. Which is getting rid of Obamacare. :lol3: I love how he says it is well past time to move on as a country. Ignore the failures. Ignore the stupidity of voting on something we didn't read. Forget the lies that were repeatedly told. Just put on your blinders and follow me over the fiscal cliff. Post Turtle strikes again!

I think it is a matter of perspective. Of course it is a massive failure if you are talking about the expense and that more people have lost their insurance than have gotten insurance. Let’s be honest. Obamacare is not insurance. It is a massive amount of legislation that increases the costs of healthcare for everyone though increases in premiums and taxes. No one gets a break other than to pass the burden to others through the misnamed subsidies.

But if the end goal is to ruin healthcare and make is so expensive and complex that people will give up and hand over the most important part of their life to big gov libs, well, in that case, this thing is working.

The insanity is in the reactions of people though. Freedom loving people will see the disaster brought on by Big Gov and say scrap it. Useful idiots will see the disaster brought on by Big Gov and ask Big Gov to fix it.
