DOJ Pressured IRS

According to a letter to the Justice Department, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) said the DOJ put pressure on the IRS to go after Tea Party groups, to follow the Democrat’s urging to “address perceived problems with the decision” of the Citizens United ruling of 2010. In his letter that the Washington Examiner acquired, Issa quoted a 2010 speech of then-IRS official Lois Lerner at Duke University where she said the Supreme Courts' decision in Citizens United “dealt a huge blow” to federal election law. “They want the IRS to fix the problem. The IRS laws are not set up to fix the problem: (c)(4)s can do straight political activity. They can go out and pay for an ad that says, ‘Vote for Joe Blow.’” So when the Supreme Court clarifies a law and you disagree with it, it’s okay to break other laws to subvert the decision? Oh, the mind of a bureaucrat.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or f-ing beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.- Al Swearengen
