Republican Hypocrisy

Postby dudejcb » Fri Sep 05, 2008 8:44 am

watched Mcain's speech last night... nice guy, poor speaker, and his talk really didn't seem to have much meat on the bones and seemed like an attempt to steal the "change" argument from the Obama campaign. On to the reason for the post.

I have not watched the Daily show in quite a while but they put together a pretty good display of Republican doublespeak (based on video clips not just verbal assertions) about gender bias and mayoral/experience qualifications.

here's the link to the raw story and the video clip is at the end of it.

agreed. his intentions and policies are much better than his delivery....of course, we dont elect presidents on their "delivery" regardless of their past or issues, do we?
and his talk really didn't seem to have much meat on the bones
i agree but i dont think it was supposed to be. the reason most republicans wanted to hear something a little specific from barak was because he has no background to draw conclusions from, and he was making some pretty grand statements with not much in the way of specifics... we know what mccain is about. good or bad. he really doesnt have to get into specifics because we already know what he does.
and seemed like an attempt to steal the "change" argument from the Obama campaign.
thats what the obama folks are saying....but i promise the republicans arent trying to steal obama's "change". we dont want any of it, and neither will you, if you really think about it.. change and reform and defying the 2 parties has been mccains story for about as long as obama has been alive... its not that he is "stealing it", but trying to point out that obama's change is for the worse, and his reform has a proven track record of working well.

the R ticket really doesnt have any bad points other than his immigration policy. and regardless of how bad we think he is for guns, do we have a better choice? nope.

Scarred of some real change huh?

Not change to Socialism or Changing for hope cause we hopping for change with some hope and change. Now tell me whos ready for some hope with some change. (crazed teenage masses and burnout hippies scream in unison. "WE ARE")

Now Bush is bad and we need some change. I hope you have hope with some change. (Add stolen Quote from some other Black Guy) America is ready for some hope. I have to talk around the issues like saying Universal Health Care. Not miserable failure of an Idea. That way the uneducated hear free medical not crippling Taxes. Sneek in a few more Hopes and some Changes and Boom Obama speech in a nut shell.

The Republicans are going to try and restore honor and dignity to the White House with the McCain/Palin team.
This team includes two adulterers, John and Cindy and a former drug addict investigated by the DEA - Cindy McCain.

Sarah Palin has a pregnant, out of wedlock, teenage daughter who is the victim of abstinence only education, and Sarah wants to force the same dysfunctional education on your children. She also wants to force victims of rape or incest in your family to have any resultant child.

John McCain says he is for change but has boasted of voting along with George Bush 90% of the time. The 10% solution?

It's the little things that get your attention.

I wasn't gonna get invovled in any of these but I cant take it any more. Did you miss high school?! Either you are a hypocrit or you were to busy playing dungeons and dragons to pay attention to the opposite sex! Kids are going to do what kids are going to do!

Let it go! Find something real to complain about.

You boys don't have a problem with the government telling you your wife or daughter has to have the child of a man who rapes her do you.
Sarah Palin has no problem with that for you.

Do you like a man that goes out of his way to defend a law that forces women who have a baby that they wanted to abort but was accidentally delivered alive allowed to die?

You are not very well informed on the Messiah if you do.

I have no problem with a women that is raped going to the hospital and having the morning after pill or other medical procedures to prevent (or terminate by preventing implantation of the embryo) pregnancy and reduce the likelihood of AIDS or other STDs. If she waits until the 9th month and then wants and abortion, I have a very big problem.

Now does a woman merely have to allege rape or does she have to file a criminal complaint. Will she actually prosecuted if she lies. If you tell women that you can't have an abortion unless you were raped, how many women do you think will have been "raped" by unknown assailants.

Rape is a horrible thing, but every woman must do everything in their power to help find and convict the rapist because other women will be raped. This means going to the hospital as soon as possible so DNA can be collected and they can recieve medical treatment, they can ensure that you never become pregnant, and you can receive the psychological help that you will also need. This is what we need to encourage in the case of rape. It virtually eliminates the issue about rape and abortion and would help save a lot of women from being raped in the future.

Our priority is killing the rapist. Yours apparently is killing the baby.

What a truly unique way of talking about politics. Someone asks question, but rather than respond with counter point or possibly new material for discussion just let loose with a schnide comment. Very interesting.

Once again, you have misrepresented Palin's position. She has always said she has no desire to force her religious beliefs into new laws against abortion. She thinks Roe vs. Wade has set presedence and has no ambition to overturn it.

All I see is a troll liberal who is scared to death that a middle class American hockey mom has taken the country by storm. I guess you think women are only good for cooking your food and having children. How sexist of you.

Having a personal religious belief and enforcing such beliefs through government law are two entirely different things. As long as she keeps them separate (as she has done), I have no problem.

It's nothing but your typical chauvinistic attitude toward women. Shame on you.

Sorry about your latest kool-aid seastreet,
But no desire to force raped women and victims of incest to be forced to have children. Leave that up to the caring Republicans.

Also no comments from me about her appearance, though you may have conveniently overlooked a number from your "colleagues".
