Get off DHC for a minute, the debate’s on TV!

Watch it, I'm sure everyone here is undecided  .

I'm debating whether Brokaw or McCain is older  .

Although it’s probably not surprising to anyone, McCain seems to be much more in his element in this debate than does Obama. Obama seems to be better at the speech giving while McCain seems to be good at talking face to face with smaller groups of people.

Isn't liberal Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens 88 years old? Why isn't anyone raising hell about him and his senility?

I don’t know, that is really old though. I’m not raising any hell, just making an observation. Here’s another for ya…Obama starts too many sentences with “Now look…” and McCain blinks a lot.

Obama does like to talk down to people. McCain keeps touting his record and saying "my friends" too much. Both of these guys won't get specific worth a squat.

Right now, I’m just happy to have not heard anybody described as a maverick. If I hear that word tonight, I’m turning it off.

When McCain called him 'that one' and pointed at him, I lost it.

I'd have to give the debate to Obama,,, again.
McCain seemed to be pretty condescending and patronizing (My Friends) while answering some of the questions. Desperation, in short.

Say good night John Boy,,, and kiss Sexy Sarah good bye while you're at it !Image

Obviously, someone fell asleep on the shortbus again. I've seen two pecans laying on the ground that have more intelligence and wit than your usual drivel.

When you are ready to have a logical conversation instead of your usual blathering drivel, let me know.

I kept thinking the same thing. I agreed with McCains Jello reference, most of his policies are strung together with Jell and has not clear weight or substance.

But it looks sweet and yummy to a lot of voters.

Everything aside, I wouldn't trust him as a leader in time of crisis. If McCain didn't emphasize anything last night, its that his record shows he is a man of action and is ready for the presidency. Obama is going to have to learn everything once he gets there. Very little if any experience.

McCain violating his pledge to not conduct a personal attack campaign has dug his ticket's hole deeper.

He and Palin losing all the debates has not helped either.

Obama started with the name calling and personal attacks first. McCain, was just sticking up for himself.

do you know that Republicans were the original "progressives?" It's quite a leap from being populist or progressive (promoting fairness for those with little power or influence) to being a socialist where everyone gets screwed except the party elite.

Obama looked calm, cool and collected. Sounded smart. McCain didn't look well and repeated himself a lot. When he tried to sting Obama, Obama deftly turned the table and used McCain's own accusatory transgressions against him.

I almost felt sorry for McCain. Kinda like when your best old hunting dog reaches the end of the trail and can't lift his leg anymore... you recall what he once was, and see his sorry state now.

Then tell my why Obama is endorsed by the Socialist party of the united states? Or Explain to myself and the others on here why Obamas website says about the same thing as the scocialist party of the united states website.

He also suscribes to marxism you just will not admit it. And/or you just don't want to see it.

You needed to spend some more time in Chicago, especially in the southside district where Obama was "organizing" because that describes the situation perfectly. Chicago has the highest tax rate in the country and some of the worst neighborhoods in the country. But damn, the rich people have some nice parks and pretty neighborhoods. The last monument to the mayor only cost $500M to build.

You can't still doubt Obama is a socialist.
A politician thinks of the next election; a statesman of the next generation. A politician looks for the success of his party; a statesman for that of the country. The statesman wished to steer, while the politician was satisfied to drift.
