Tenth Amendment Movement -Go Okies!!

Postby buckmeister » Tue Mar 10, 2009 6:47 am

I just heard on my local radio station that a Oklaoma state sentor is introducing a bill in front of the first time ever republican controlled Oklahoma legislator that basically says that if Washingtons powers are not expressly mentioned in the Constitution then the state of Oklahoma will not be bound by them. I will update this post asI find out more but believe me boys this is a start! and if any state will do this I hope its my state I believe we are the most conservative state in the union.

Wow . . . That's pretty exciting - we "had" a similar situation here in which the Republicans gained control of the House for the first time in over 100 yrs and one of the Rep's was a turncoat and voted Dem for the speaker of the house. It was quite a nasty scene.

Ah yes, rebellion, the american way..i guess? Super patriot or rebel? fine line there.

Anyway maybe your states can choose the route the Florida Keys took in the early 80's. They were mad at some Federal immigrant related blockade so they seceeded by the mayor declaring independance, declaring war by breaking a loaf of bread over the head of someone dressed in a Navy uniform and then offering surrender to the head of the naval base there. In return of surrender they would get 1 billion for "damages" incurred by the feds.

A simple example of how the government has abused the states and trampled the tenth amendment is the following:

My neighborhood subdivision of nice middle class holmes has a restriction that the holmes must be used for family dwellings. Thanks to the Federal Government they passed a law that over rides any state an local law for drug rehab housing. A wonderul piece of human excrement bought a house four doors down from me and rents out 7 rooms in the house as a halfway house for drug and alchol abuse. There are now 7 cars parked in the street and driveway of recovering crack heads. This of course has increased my homes value because everyone wants to buy a home next to crack heads. Thank you Federal Government. Of course these half way houses wont be in any of congress neighborhoods just frickin mine! It then happend again on the street behind me. The government decided to help me more and turned an aprtment complex a half mile away into section 8 housing,of course all of congress lives next to section 8 housing, now my holmes value has really improved!

VERY Intersting BM - I have been a real estate inv/flipper and ended up in one of the houses I should've flipped. It's the same here in Memphrica, the sub-prime loans killed the neighbor(hoods) - What you and I would have had to produce for a loan was superceded and presented to those that shouldn't have received it - I won't go further - I have to prepare myself for the socialistic positon that we find ourselves. I'm straining myself to find a niche' business and overcome all this stuff. Maybe just a purveyor of conservative value is my calling!
