Gun Safes

Postby eastcoastjava » Tue Jan 01, 2013 12:16 pm

Hey guys, just trying to get an opinion on what is a good safe out there for under 1000 bucks, defiantly needs a good fire rating and the amount of guns must be over 10 plus it will hold some important documents. I have been looking around by every safe has really mixed reviews. Thanks guys.

American Security (AM SEC) makes quality no-frills safes for all uses that are affordable and very well built. I shopped around years ago and bought a larger, higher capacity AM SEC for a much lower price than a Browning or Liberty in the same size range.

Make sure you buy one or two sizes bigger then you think you need.
It's amazing how fast they fill up,whether it's with more guns or camera's ,jewelry or personal documents or prescription meds.
Also make sure the safe is actually fire proof and not fire resistant.

Sturdy safes are very well made and very customizable. Not sure what a 10-20 gun safe would cost but I'd say they are worth taking a look.
