We had a Purebred Black Lab show up over the house a couple days ago. He had been abused very badly by some neighbours of ours. He's only 6 months old and doesn't even know how to play with a ball or anything. My parents caleld the Animal Shelter and we now have full custody of the pup. I own a 3 year old Yellow LAb now and i'm hoping I can turn this pup into a very good duck dog as well someday. I started a wing today and he seemed to like it alot so maybe theres some light at the end of the tunnel. If not he's gonna be a good pet for my mother i'm sure, he already sleeping on the bed with her and dad HAHA!!
I just named him DRAKE tonight b/c his other name was FLOPPY
and who wants there buddies knowing u have a duck dog named FLOPPY!!
I'll keep ya's posted on how he makes out with his progress

good job. have fun and if he has been abused then don't worry to much about training right now, just do ALOT of playing with him and bonding and socialize the heck out of him.

You are a good person.
And as for Floppy, you can change the name, but I would still call YOU floppy in the duck blind.
