lab is the most common dog for waterfowling.but make sure you buy one at a breeder.they are expensive, but you shouldnt have to worry about hip displasia or other problems.

i dont know what breeders you have there.look in the yellow pages if theres nothing there start calling the vets, look in the classifieds for puppies for sale and ask if they are a breeder.make sure the guarantee the puppies. breeder puppies here are about 600 to 800 bucks.where they basically gaurantee the puppy from defect.you could probly pay the breeder to train them.or they could suggest a trainer.training is about 400 to 600 month.i think they have them for 4 3 month sessions for a fully trained dog.but you can learn to train him yourself to theres lot of books out there to learn stuff.

busteer 22 You can probably train the the dog yourself if you think you'll have time. a bunch of books and videos out there to choose from. Water Dog is a good one. the key is spending time w/pet to become your hunting partner. If you don't have the time and want to hunt right away then maybe you should invest in an already trained dog. Just my thoughts on it...Hawk
