first goose hunt

Postby CALI GUNNER » Thu Nov 18, 2004 11:25 pm

Just got back from a 4 day goose hunt in Tulelake, CA and I took my 11 month old lab Gunner. He did wonderful. Our group shot 24 geese and 13 ducks and he retrieved every one. It was a mixed bag of birds but the big honker was the highlight for me. I am a proud man today. Hope to have some pictures up soon.

Thank you...yeah he is forced fetched. He is steady to shot and I am starting him on stoping on the whistle, hand signals slowly but surely. I got lucky with him. He seems to pick things up fast.

thought so, you dont see dogs that young hunt that well when they are not force fetched.

Congrats, great dogs are priceless!
