Pleasant Top Pro Handler

Postby tenfingergrip » Tue Sep 17, 2013 10:14 am

Nice to see friend and former gun dog trainer Alan Pleasant is ranked #1 Professional Field Trial Handler in the country going into the countdown to the National Open in November in Cheraw, SC. Alan has 10 wins with 85 points and 31 placements this year and is edging out Danny Farmer, Vinwood Kennels and Ray Voight, Handjem Retrievers (Mike Lardy's) for the top spot. Alan's kennel, Black River Retrievers, Angier, NC, is also ranked top kennel in the nation, as well. Each of those three handlers have qualified 4 dogs each for the Open.

Besides being an outstanding professional trainer, Alan is a super nice guy! Good going and good luck Alan!

"Former gundog trainer" who got his start in NAHRA, if I'm not mistaken. Helluva trainer and tough to beat at any trial I've ever run where Alan's truck was on the premises. In fact, he just about downright dominates.
