Can a loss of electrolytes in dogs cause muscle trembling like in humans?

Dogs don't lose electrolytes because they don't sweat like humans.

I'm not a vet, but I would assume that dogs, like humans, can absolutely experience electrolyte losses as a result of excessive vomiting and diarrhea and disease states, such as, renal failure and DKA.
