How cold do you let it get at night before bringing the dog in the house for the night?

My dogs sleep in the office when we are at home and next to me when we are in the field.

Bella and I have camped out in 10 degree weather she refused to sleep under a blanket. She kept getting on top of it. Apparently she was to warm. When we are home she sleeps in the house.

-10 Actually my dogs come in every night but when it gets down to -15 daytime temps I usually keep them in the porch. As long as they have some shelter with decent bedding they can handle pretty cold temps. Mine have come out of the dog house at -20 and their bodies felt warm and toasty.

I guess it depends if your goal is for the dog to be more comfortable or not freeze to death, it also depends on what the sleeping quarters are for the dog outside, a dog house with an opening that does not block the cold wind, no straw etc.
