Road salt and dog?

Postby chrisss » Wed Dec 04, 2013 7:25 pm

I'm from Minnesota and it just started snowing so road salt is going to be used. How bad is this road salt for my dog and how do you prevent your dog fro. Eating snow mix with salt?

I lived in Minnesota for over 30 years. Never had a problem with dogs eating salted snow. I don't think you need to worry but you could limit his oppertunity. Don
Forgive me for being arrogant. I own 2 Drahthaar's.

Dog should not be anywhere near the road anyway.
There are still things worth dying for and 1 of those things is freedom.

I love Geese

Genesis 27:3 Now then, get your weapons, quiver and bow, go out in the fields and hunt some wild game for me.

I walk my dog to the park daily and a lot of salt is used in mn to mwlt snow so he like eating snow and was concerned he might consume road salt. He only 3 months so he still like to discover new things
