What do you guys do when your lab is too big for any if the vests sold? My dog is 25 around the neck and 36 around the chest

Two options:

Check out the sugar coat or put the dog on a diet. Maybe a third option, I have heard of a custom vest maker but don't know their name.

Get online and order a sheet of neoprene the same thickness as the vest. Buy the biggest vest you can find. Split it at the lower seam and glue in the section you need to make it fit.

Or.....you can quit hunting with a Rottweiler and use a lab like the rest of us. :lol3:

Haha she's a big girl that's for sure and she's not even fat. She was bred big. The guy I got her from hunts big water out in the sound and likes a big lab so it can't battle the current better.

my lab went from 75 pounds to around 65-68 by simply cutting down on food and training almost every day had to modify her vest again before the season cause it was a little to loose for me. it can be done but takes time and another option would be to keep a towel with you and dry the dog after each group of birds down is picked up.
