Bella's Taste in Ducks is Getting Expensive

Postby ScaupHunter » Mon Dec 16, 2013 10:54 am

Bella with her first sea ducks.

Harli Small - Rotated.jpg

I hunted in northern Washington with a couple DHC members this weekend. We saw all three types of Scoters that winter in our area. We also saw Old Squaw, and Harlequin, along with about 2 thousand Buffies. I managed to get my first Harli and first Surf Scoter in a two hour afternoon hunt.

The three of us have a couple days of layout hunts planned for the last week of season. I want to see if we can can harvest all three species of Scoter and Old Squaw, along with Barrows and Common GE' in one day.

Heck ya! That's awesome. We shot the crap out of Old Squaw a few weeks ago but I never got my mounter bird. Did shot my fist mounter pennie the other day though so I know the feeling! Great picture by the way!
