Shoulder injury

Postby whtelk » Fri Dec 27, 2013 9:42 pm

My lab jumped a fence yesterday and came up lame. Acts like it is in the shoulder, could be leg. Seems better today but looks like we wont be hunting for a few days. What can I give her to ease the pain? My vet said one aspirin per day but not more than 3 days. Poor dog really wants to go hunting, I won't hunt without her.

I'm guessing the vet said "buffered" aspirin, as regular aspirin is said to be quite hard on their stomachs.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

Yes, "Buffered"..... she is a lot better today. I might try and hunt with her Sunday. Sure don't want to injure her more.
