I have a feeling that the bed will have a hole in it soon..... Congrats on the pup!

Nothing like a Puppy to make you feel young and old, all at the same time. Great looking pup. Good luck and good hunting.

Believe it or not the bed is still intact. Any time she starts to nibble it is quickly replaced with a knotted rope chew toy. Abby is from Longmeadow Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in PA. Thanks for all the kind words.

Chaamp (dad) pups?

I used him last year on my female. Here's a pic of one of the pups on his first hunting trip, where he retrieved a wood duck at just 4 months. You've got some good genes there. Good luck.

Indeed her sire was Shalcross Lake's Chaamp. She is learning very fast. Loves the fun retrieves and come and sit commands are going very well. Potty and crate training are proceeding as planned. So far she is exceeding my expectations from such a young pup. BTW she was 9weeks on Tues.

Thank you. Always love checking out the pics of your dog as well. Those beards really tickle my fancy...maybe the next dog will be a Draht.

You won't be disappointed. My dog is a WPG, but a draht won't do you wrong.

Hi , in Sweden there are about 220-230 Chesapeake Bay retrivers max vs a zillion Labs and Golden..

My first owned dog ( 28yers ago) was a Chessie , i had her for 6 yrs when she accidentally eat rat-poison RIP/Rita

after that i 2 male RIP , and then 2 labs i still have, 3 years my wife say to me

" i want a Chessie again , everyone has a Lab " So Nemi is 3 years now, and it looks she will be a fine Duck dog.

Chessies aren't for everyone, but if you once have one you never forget
