Is it getting better?

Postby PBR Me » Wed Jul 28, 2010 1:04 pm

I saw an article, which I can't seem to find now, that said the surface oil is clearing up quicker than anticipated now that the well is capped. It generally said things are moving in the right direction.

What are the locals seeing?

Ill say this
As someone who lives and fishes southeast Louisiana, I can say with full sureness that the fishing hasnt been affected by the spill. In fact, our fishing hasn't been this good in a while. Limits of trout and reds everywhere. I haven't seen any surface oil even going out as far as Last Island. I haven't seen any deformed fish, no giant fish kills. The only thing that has been affecting our catch has been the weather. The winter from last year and how warm it stayed this year kept the trout further offshore. Now, if you ain't catchin' trout, you are doin' somethin' wrong!

Think it's just fish commission putting bs out there and not stoking as many fish as they should
