DU in the Chesapeake

Postby genemckenzie1 » Fri Dec 14, 2012 5:53 am

Growing up on the Chesapeake and hunting/fishing the Bay my whole life, I've seen the degradation of the waters and natural resources. And I'm not very old (23). Does anyone know of any Ducks Unlimited conservation efforts in or around the Chesapeake that may need some volunteers on weekends?

I would try to touch base with a local chapter directly. May yield faster results!

There are plenty of projects going on in MD. You should try reaching out to your local chapter. Much of what DU has been doing in MD is fundraising. Cant do any projects without the coin. 80 some odd cents off the dollar raised go back into conservation.

Btw, never heard anything. Think my money is going elsewhere.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have lived on Delmarva my whole life only sizeable amount of money DU has spent here was on prime hook, which now is a joke
