Layout blind repair

Postby Ragin Jack » Fri Dec 28, 2012 8:59 pm

I have an avery finisher blind that needs some work. Everything functions fine but the floor in the blind has started to sort of dry rot. It has a few thin spots already. I was thinking of spraying something like a rubber undercoating or something like flex seal. Someone suggested spray on bed liner, but I am worried about adding weight to it. Any help is appreciated.

Go to an old Army Surplus store and buy some canvas to re-floor the bottom. Just sew it over the old bottom. You will add weight, but not more than a pound or so. To keep it waterproof, use snow seal on the canvas to keep it water resistant. You should be able to pick up canvas few a bout 10 bucks.
