Boat blind question

I built my blind and I am beyond happy with it. Little heavy but very well built in my opinion thanks to someone online. How ever as you can see the blind wraps around your head and over the top. You can see in front very well, but if the ducks came from behind I got a problem. So I thought about bungieing it and creating a quick release to make the part that is over your head fly open. Will this work or will it flare them to bad.

Should work ok. Deks naturally set on the front side. Some sort of punch cloth or netting on top and you would be able so see working birds. The need to shoot up or behind would be for a passing shot. If top flips quick as you stand up I don't see why it would work. They gonna flair when you stand up anyway.
