bearings/hub problem for the dhc braintrust

Postby aunt betty » Fri Aug 30, 2013 6:02 pm

Ok will lay it out.
I need: 4-bolt hub assembly with 1" bearings.
I can get: 1 1/16" hub kits all day...and 1" bearings with races.

The question:
Why not just swap bearings in a new 1 1/16" hub kit with 1" bearings.
The races should be same or very close.

Changing races in a new hub is a pita and was hoping this might have been done before???

If the hubs are using the l44610 race you can use the 1" or 1-1/16" bearings.

hahaha this is my home game! im a manager at a auto parts store... as said the race will be the same... now i came across the issue with hub... i bought the hub kits from tractor supply and swapped bearings.... well about 30 miles away from my tool box and 5 from the closest advance auto i learn that TS hubs are made for TS axles... needless to say i was a little pi***d when i got there
