Does it really matter if your waders are brown or camo?

I doubt it matters really.....plus a lot of the time you are wearing a coat over the top half and water covering the bottom...ducks aren't gonna see brown....not like you are wearing hot pink

Doesn't matter one bit if you stay still. Half of my "camo" is solid brown coats, shirts, etc.

If I could find some all brown boot foot waders with some durable coating over the neoprene I'd buy em in a heartbeat.

Only in rare instances do I find the color of my waders to cause me any concern.
99% of the time the waders are hardly visible to the ducks.
Usually, brown is cheaper than the camo patterns.....

People must think there is a new breed of Game Warden running around giving out fashion tickets to hunters that don't have matching pieces of the latest and greatest camo.

Any earth tone colored clothing (waders, shirts, jackets, gloves, hats, etc) are more than sufficient as long as one remains still and utilizes some form of cover be it natural (brush. trees, etc) or manmade like a blind. Some camo will help to break up your outline but eliminating movement (and glaring white faces) is the key to successful hunting of any bird or animal.

I have yet to own a pair of camo waders and to this point I haven't seen any issues in them being brown... When my current pair wears out may get some camo ones for the heck of it but I'm in no rush.

I've been using brown for years bc when I first got started I didn't want to drop the money on camo. I don't think I've ever had a horrible hunt bc of the waders. My shooting on the other hand.....

i'd buy a pair of brown neoprenes or breathables in a heartbeat...if you could get them without felt soles. nobody seems to make plain jane hunting waders in brown(well, except hodgman cheapies that fall apart) any more, cabelas included. i've usually only got my head exposed when hunting, so concealment is the name of my game.

ps- i don't wear my camouflage to social events. can't see the point in wearing out expensive hunting clothing when my regular clothes work just fine.

Then why do ducks always buzz the spread when I'm getting ready to leave or after I've crawled out of the blind to take a leak? :lol3:

In that case, wear the waders over your head.
