Mojo's marsh seat...JUNK

Postby deepmarsh1 » Sun Nov 25, 2012 9:20 am

Bought one this summer. Used it 4 times in early teal season and for the fifth time saturday. The pole that the seat is attached to broke in half at one of the adjustment holes. I'm very disappointed considering this thing cost $70. Must have been the thinnest/ lowest grade metal available. That is all. Highly recommend Avery over this for a marsh seat.

If you have an Academy near by you can get a Avery copy (Game winner) for 10.00 less. I have both and they are the same.

In my experience... Anything that Avery makes is high quality.

I take my mojo over my avery any time I can. The three wider paddles keep my fat rump elevated much better than the two little wings on my avery. The seat is more comfortable for me as well. It's over a year old and been used hard in saltwater, maybe they got cheap, I dunno.

After my old faithful folding chair rusted away to the point I could no longer weld reinforcement on it, I bought a MountainGreen folding chair from Gander Mt. .....on sale for $19.95. What an awesome seat! I modified the pivot area (weak point in all folding chairs) and expect it to last the rest of my hunting life. I see that GM is sold out of them (the chair with the back) right now, but the backless chair is the same thing. Highly recommend.
Cut the carrying strap off (it will hang up on everything), and remove the underseat storage pouch (it will just fill up with water).
