does any one have any experience with Macks windtamer fleece products or their fleece shirts in general? I have been looking at their Windtamer vest in Buck Brush or Dark Moss and the fleece mock turtleneck or fleece henly

I have some of their fleece shirts. I like them. I wear them every time I hunt. They're cheap. Wait til they go on sale and they're very cheap. I rarely buy anything that isn't on sale.

I have their Avery windtamer fleeces. The jacket sized fleece isn't half bad nor are the thinner base layers they sell. On really cold and windy days I still needed to toss on my shell to block the wind though.

No fleece garment is effective in wind. Regardless of what the ads say about Windstopper/Windtamer fleece, in any kind of breeze you need an efficient outer shell. The stuff that MPW's sells is as good as any other, just pay attention to who the manufacturer is; some is better than others.

I'd say they do. The jackets are cut slightly larger so you can layer if needed.
