Which is the better deal for a good pair of waders looking to get a new pair will probably only use a handful of times a year

yeah man, I wouldn't buy either of them. Spend the extra 20$ on cabelas, and get more than one season out of your waders

I really like my current columbias, but they were a gift and I would never pay for a pair of them lol. Wayyyy too much $$$

another vote for cabela's

I gave my little brother my redhead waders after I used them one season and he used them about a season and 1/2 now and both boots are cracked and stitching coming out of the knee pads

Cabela's here too. Spent 5 hours yesterday waist deep in a beaver pond at less than 10 degrees, missing ducks at every opportunity but I was as warm and dry as I could possibly be. Angry, but warm and dry.

Cabelas definitely. I've had redhead waders and my hunting partner has had drake and neither were worth a darn. I have been using the cabelas 1600 Supermag and just ordered a pair of the cabelas breathable waders. I won't be wearing anything else ever again.

i've never had the cabelas but i know for a fact the cabelas are good just from the reviews i've seen... however, i just bought the drake's back in sept and havent had a prob. with them yet.. i will just have to see how long they last.. i love them so far. my buddy has redheads and he loves them too.. IMO and from my experiences hey are both good waders but hey, why not buy cabelas, top of the line i hear.. that's what i'll buy next..

As others have said, Cabela's are the way to go. Don't know anything about Drake waders, but Redhead waders on the other hand I do. Mine started leaking after 4 or 5 hunts and most of them were out of a boat. Took them back and ordered a pair from Cabela's and have no complaints.
Last night, I dreamed that I killed all the saggers, all the swaggers, and all of their duckface girlfriends...

It was called: The Yolocaust.

Drake vs. Redhead is like a kick to the nuts from an NFL kicker or a fastball to the nuts from and MLB pitcher. You're gonna regret your painful mistake either way.

Go Cabela's Warrior 2 breathables. Love mine.
