I've been thinking about getting a layout blind but I'm very curious to know what people think or have to say about how much different they are to hunt from versus a standard blind you would sit in. My biggest concerns would be visibility and level of comfort shooting from a laying position. Also, in terms of weather, how do you go about protecting your face from the elements when it's raining and or snowing.

One of those hay bale blinds really stands out in a field. I have layouts (BlanketBlinds) and today hunted from a hedgerow because of the weather. That's from experince that a layout is miserable in rain (snow is manageable).
