Never used one but a LOT of people are satisfied with the GoPro. Thought about getting one myself..

I have the shotkam and love it. Little to no editing. It only records the four seconds before and after the shot. I tried the go pro and the ducks looked like little dots. None of these have been edited. http://s1308.beta.photobucket.com/user/ ... c.mp4.html

I use a GoPro Hero 3 too and it works really well... plenty of mounting options in case you want to move it from your barrel and its super light... i would recommend the remote though, i attached my remote to my lanyard and that way i can turn it on and start filming without moving around to much... low light filming is bad though

Contour HD has a slim/sleek desing making it a bit easier to mount on a gun/barrel. I've only ran one on my AR utilizing my rail space. Not sure what mounts are available for a shotgun.

Friend at the gun club has the shotkam it works nice. He puts it on the his trap gun. You can slow it down and see the shot just before it hit's the clay target. Way cool... :thumbsup:
