Definitely 65. I had a 35 then sold it and bought a 65. It's the perfect size for me and my family. Holds plenty but not so heavy one person can't handle it. Once you get over the 65 they get to be too much for one person to carry

Are these coolers really worth all the hype? Or do the copycats do the same thing?

Here we go again. Yes, the coolers perform, and last. You might also look at Engel and Pelican, they seem to be excellent as well.

What did you end up buying?

I won a 65 qt Yeti at a DU event a few years ago.

Weighs 29 lbs. empty. With a case of beer, a case of cokes and 20 lbs of ice you are looking at a 60 lb cooler easy.

I won it, so I can't complain but during duck season (when its cold) I usually just use my cheap colemans and leave them outside. If I had to choose, I'd go smaller.

My buddy won a roto-molded color (pelican maybe?) at a DU event this year that had wheels and a handle. I'm glad to see someone figured it out.

I have a roadie and the 45qt YETI. I use the roadie when I'm in my boat by myself fishing. I use my 45qt for just about everything else. I have a seat cushion on my 45qt and it makes for a great seat when hunting out of my 17ft Xpress.

The best part about YETI to me is I can throw a couple man limit of crappie in it and with a tiny bit of dish soap and water it no longer smells like a fish. The smells can't permeate the material like they do cheap Walmart coolers.

For those of you about to buy a YETI for the first time don't pick out a size by just looking at the outside dimensions. The coolers are really thick and the inside isn't as big as you would think. I tell people to find the size they want and then go up 2 sizes and they will be happy.
