Cabelas Northern Flight Marsh Grass and Portable Blind

Postby westksbowhunter » Thu Jun 20, 2013 6:09 pm

Was thinking of picking up 4 of the 4x4 marsh grass mats at Cabelas and making a portable blind. Was going to use some of the long green tomato poles from Wal Mart and attach the mat to 2 poles then just staking them where ever I choose to hunt. Wanted to get the longer poles so I could stake the mats in a couple of feet of water so I could be portable on the refuge. What do you all think? Anyone else done this?

I was going to zip tie the grass mats to the tomato stakes. It may take 3 stakes per mat to keep it from sagging. I am thinking you can just roll them up and toss them in the boat. I want to set them right up in the corn when I hunt the local refuge.
