can anyone tell me what the best color of green to use on the mallard drakes head that matches?
just because your not shooting does not mean your not hunting

I would paint the whole head black and before the paint drys blend in small amounts of emerald green, very little on the top of the head and neck. Go easy with the green, don't get too much on your brush and just lightly stroke it into the black. You will be pleased with the results.
I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.

the black and emerald will work....especially if making a quick repaint or doing a large number.....the long answer though is a little cobalt blue, a little ochre yellow, a little interference green, a little interference blue a little purple and even less black when almost dried........easier to do the blending with oils since they don't dry as fast as acrylics
