I bought a pair of hodgmans this year. Being my first year I did not want to spend a large sum on something I might not like. I can say that I really like them. I bought the breathables with the 600 gram thinsulate boots in mossyoak pattern. I have not trashed them but I have crawled around and worn them like you would expect out of a first year fowler. I paid 129.00 for them and expect to use them next year as well. In my opinion I have been very happy with the hodgman products I have bought, not the cheapest and not the most expensive and the quality has done me well. You might want to check out their outlet store on their website, they have some killer deals on it.

Check Walmart. Some stores carry Hodgman 5mm with 600 gram boots for $89.95. If they are seconds and thats why Walmart has them I can say mine haven't leaked yet(3 years old this season). Definately worth looking into.

Check out www.hodgman.com then go to the outlet store.

I got a pair of 5 mm hodgmans with 1200 grams in the boots for $75 shipped. They have what appears to be the same outer material as the cabelas armor flex waders that are $169. We got ours cause we were willing to buy stout sizes (okay since we wear our hunting jackets underneath our waders so we need more chest space. They have lots of other sizes too, but just not in the waders we were looking for. My little brother got ours at 69.90 a pair, plus a total of $7.50 for shipping (that is the total for shipping on 2 pairs of waders). They are the best money I have ever spent. I spend more time afield in one year than some guys do in 2 or three. They have held up incredibly well. I have nothing but praise for these. I had herters waders and they didn't last one season. These are inexpensive and the best dang waders for the price that I have ever seen. Only problem is a sweat my butt of because it can be 65 degrees here and two days later be below zero.

By the way, they also have 4 in 1 jackets in Advantage wetlands for 69.90

Can't go wrong with Cabelas. If you get them and don't like them they take them back no BS. I am a big fan of their customer service. I'm sure you could find something with them in your budget. Also call and ask for a product specialist. Most of the time you can get to talk to someone there who has used what you're looking at.
