Layout Blinds for Tall Guys?

Postby K Williams » Fri Oct 18, 2013 8:13 pm

Which layout blinds do you recommend for tall guys? I'm 6'3", 240 pounds. Thanks.

A Cabela's ultimate or elite blind would fit you just fine.

I have an elite, Im 5' 10" and feel tiny in it, and my buddy has the ultimate and hes about the same size and you and he has more than enough.

you'll fit in most blinds no problem.

Agreed. I'm 6'3 and 220lbs and fit in a Cabela's Mobile 1 just fine. Not a lot of extra room, but it's definitely one of the smaller blinds on the market.

I have the standard Rogers Goosebuster blind, plenty of room. 6'3 isn't THAT tall, shouldn't be too difficult to find one.

OK. Thanks. This will be my first layout blind so I was just making sure they'd be able to fit me.

Cabelas Ultimate is 86" long and 36" wide... Rig'Em Right is 96" long and 36" wide Cabelas is on sale right now. I have had cabelas for 5 years now I am 6'-4" it's been a great blind

I'm 6'3" 265
My Brother is 6'4" 250

I run GHG Ground Force for pack in
Roger's Toughman for drive in

Brother Runs Ground FOrce for pack in
Finisher for Drive in

I've owned almost every blind on the market. Backrest is a big deal for me.

Tanglefree deadzone is what I use. Great for big guys. Only downside is it doesn't pack up very small.

I'm 6', 3" and walk around about 290. I run the Cabela's elites, the older Rogers toughman (Finisher), the new Goosebuster and Goosbuster XL and I have no problems fitting in any of them, even into the late season when it gets REALLY COLD. For my money the Rogers Goosebusters, virtually IDENTICAL blinds to the Tanglefree Landing Zone and Dead Zone, are the way to go. BTW, Cabela's has the TF Dead Zone and a free snow cover for $199.99 right now in the bargain cave...

the Cabela's and Roger's blinds are leaps and bounds above that blind.
