I'd go ahead and get it! I have the elite, and my buddy has the ultimate. I wish I'd spent a little more for the ultimate (he got us the blinds at employee pricing
) as the water proof bottom would have been handy on a few hunts as well as the cup holder his has is nice. other wise they are pretty dang close as to the build of the blinds and I absolutely love my blind and I have laid down in a lot of other blinds and put together a few as well for other friends and have yet to find anything as good as a Cabela's as far as durability, function, comfort, and fit/finish go. closest runner up is the Roger's blinds, everything else is pretty shotty in one way or another or I do not like how its set up.
other blinds I put together and I often hunt with guys who have them.
Roger's goose buster- rivals the Cabela's elite that I have but a slightly smaller tube frame (feels flimsy to me), and has stiff wire in the mesh so you can poke your head up through it just right or easily. but it hides decent like my cabela's and is a great buy for the money if you get the package with goose flag and snow cover.
HS hitman blind- doesnt fold down enough, "spring assist doors" are harder than normal doors to open, no face mesh cover. but its comfortable and hides well due to its angled design.
Redhead- steel frame with tiny plastic fittings, only half camo, uncomfortable, doesnt fold up or pack well.
Rig-'em right- kind of small, the doors are seperate so there is a HUGE gap at the side of each door that looks unfinished and lets lots of cold wind/rain/ snow in, doors are also pretty short, BUT on the upside it does have tons of stuble straps and a decent seat.
Avery power hunter- only the head rest frame so its very uncomfortable, small and sleeping bag like, the hood will close on you while trying to shoot with a decent wind also shows a lot of body movement. doesnt hide the best due to the tall hood, but the torso, leg, and foot part of the blind hide well. Also packs well
Roger's LP- small, floppy doors, uncomfortable, shows ALL body movement, but it does a great job of hiding you low and packs really easy.
