cleaning gun case

I have a drake waterfowl floating gun case. i hunt out in salt water, so i put my gun back in the case all salty.. i wanna clean the case for when the season is over.. how can i clean this

Unzip it completely. Remove gun. Put 2" of warm water and 1/4 cup of laundry detergent in the bathtub. Hand wash the case in the water. Drain and refill tub with clean warm water. Hand rinse the case in clear water. Repeat the clear water rinse until all the suds are gone. Air dry the case completely.

That's very little trouble when the other option is a rusted up shotgun. You're looking at a 30min job or 1 hour tops. I'd say that's very little work

i was thinking the washing machine but i would have to bend it like three times to get it in .
